OUR JOINT MINISTRY WITH WATER OF LIFE LUTHERAN CHURCH
In 2014 we initiated a joint ministry with the Water of Life Lutheran Church who meets in our fellowship hall. During the summer we have joint services with the Lutherans who have a shared pulpit fellowship. The two churches have close doctrines and a common Lectionary.
WELCOMING YOU HOME
As part of the body of Christ, we (Covenant Moravian Church), are called by God to grow an enthusiastic congregation committed to following and sharing Christs' example.
Covenant Moravian is part of Wilmington's Backpack Buddy Program Backpack Buddies is a collaborative community project between The Junior League of Wilmington, The Blue Ribbon Commission, and Nourish NC. The goal of this program is to provide weekly nourishment, recipes, and healthy eating tips to children who depend upon school based meals. Please contact us at if you would like to donate or volunteer with the League during a group packing session.
The Candle Tea is a traditional observance of Advent and Christmas. Covenant combines customs of past and present with music, advent stars and wreaths, trimmed beeswax candles , cookies, sugar cake and spiced tea.
Although we do not have regularly scheduled hand outs we do get walk ins for food and keep a food pantry just for that purpose.
